Ford has prepared a facelift for the popular Puma crossover, produced in Craiova. Puma is a successful model for the American manufacturer, with 560,942 units produced so far at the factory in Craiova.

The Ford Puma topped the UK car-sales charts in 2023.

There are minor changes on the outside and significant upgrades for the crossover’s interior. Puma comes with a new Ford badge in the centre of the grille and restyled LED headlight signatures, while those with Matrix LED technology are optional.

Customers can pick from six colors – including the new Cactus Gray – and several wheels varying from 17 to 19 inches.

The new Ford Puma ST has big screens and tiny 1.0-liter engine

Inside, there’s an all-new dashboard layout that’s designed to be less cluttered than before, with a wraparound effect, slim-line air vents and a new two-spoke steering wheel design.

The cabin is substantially different with the new Sync 4 infotainment installed. The dashboard accommodates a pair of screens while the center air vents have been moved at the top to make room for the 12.0-inch touchscreen. To its left, the 12.8-inch digital instrument cluster is no longer fully integrated into the dash.

Also new for 2024 is an enhanced suite of driver assist functions which includes Intersection Assist, Reverse Brake Assist and Predictive Speed Assist - which automatically slows the car down when approaching a bend or junction.

Other highlights of the car’s refreshed cabin include ambient lighting, an acoustic laminated windscreen, an optional panoramic glass roof, and synthetic-leather upholstery on the seats, steering wheel and armrest – with different colours of stitching, depending on the trim level.

Ford also confirmed the name of the electric Puma – Gen-E – ahead of its unveiling later this year. The EV will be built alongside the regular variants at the company's factory in Craiova, Romania.
